#    We paused the production of "mother-starter(dried)" temporarily due to "supply chain"; we were selling dried one [We never sold wet one], so it has nothing to do with “virus”. Making dried mother-starter is a long process ; dehydrating a few days , grinding 3 times with different machines, and putting together all the ingredients & sealing; it is a totally different job from baking sourdough bread(main job).
     At my bakery my wife and I, only two of us are working, and recently we have been embracing more online-orders and customers since my bread was introduced in "Tastes of the world" by a magazine, "LUXlife" in UK, on Sept 22, 2023, and their demand is beyond our capacity. That’s why we stopped the production of dried mother-starter temporarily until we have more people.
     Now it is really difficult to hire more people because of high minimum wage($16 in 2024) in California.
